Something to Write Home About

Well now I really have something to blog about - I'm moving to a new home! At long last I got up the nerve to actually do something about my hatred for this horrid place. It seemed that I just couldn't put together a feasible plan for moving - with the hassle and expenses and all.

Then, last week, I decided to go on the internet and begin searching for house rentals in Davenport, IA - mainly because my only daughter lives there and every time I visited her I liked the city more. (This was before the floods and tornadoes!) For a long time, the thought of being in the middle of the country, even further away from my beloved ocean, held me back from actively pursuing that idea... not to mention their long, cold winters.

Speeding... That's the Ticket!

It's been a while since I've blogged. I'd like to say it was because I'm living such an exciting life and I'm just soooo busy. . . but, (pfffft!) not! There are so many things to blog about lately that choosing just one topic is difficult. Driving trips and good friendships, speeding tickets, the sad loss of my daughter's beloved dog, the already too hot weather, and, of course, there's always the Hillary/Barack thing.
